BUILDING A GLOBAL OCEAN DATA PLATFORM

We’re deploying novel tech to generate millions of biogeochemical data points daily — exponentially more than currently exist or are possible with other approaches.

Step 1. Following the field test of our tech in the Netherlands in Q2 2024, we’re launching two beta projects; one in Portugal in Q4 2024, and one in California in Q1 2025. We’re looking for corporate and/or institutional sponsors to make it happen.

Our novel and patented biogeochemical data collection, transmission and analytics technology and methodology will help quickly deepen our understanding of ocean systems.

Deployed via an array of drones and other unmanned vehicles, our tech will allow us quickly and cost-effectively generate millions of biogeochemical data points each day — exponentially more data points than currently exist or are feasible from current existing methodologies and technologies.

Our approach will vastly increase the efficacy and applicability of machine learning and other advanced computational modeling techniques — for the first time in history.

Our methodology also includes volunteer-based ‘Social Strike Teams’ to gather contextually relevant data.

Following the field test of our tech in the Netherlands in Q2 2024 we’re launching two beta projects in Portugal and California in Q4 2024 and Q1 2025 respectively.

These are two of six locations that represent the most important confluences of:

  • Primary productivity (critical links in the marine-terrestrial food web)
  • Continuous upwelling (where nutrient-rich deep water meets the ocean surface)
  • Ocean-human interdependency (places of most direct impact for ocean-human ecosystems)

We are actively looking for sponsors. Email us at info@oceananalytica.org if you’d like to know more.

Step 2. Using the data generated in our beta projects, we will begin rollout of our Ocean Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) proposition in 2025.

Over time, we will become financially self-sustaining, with profits re-invested into building and maintaining a global ocean data platform designed to drive adoption of truly ethical ocean governance.

Targeted for launch in 2025, our commercial DaaS proposition will include:

  • Ecosystem Impact Reports for companies subject to the new European Union Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive requirements, which entered into force on January 5, 2023.
  • Commercial consulting services for the Blue Economy to design evidence-based ocean interventions in aquaculture and more.
  • Global biogeochemical data reports, and standards development so that governments, institutions and intergovernmental organizations can develop data-backed ocean governance.

Send us an email at info@oceananalytica.org to find out more.

We’re looking for sponsors for our first two beta projects in Portugal in Q2 2024, and California Q1 2025.
